Fall is a Gorgeous Time of Year for Family Portraits

The fall is such a great time of year as the kids are back to school, moms & dads are lined up along the playing fields with a cup of coffee for an early morning practice or game and everyone seems to be enjoying some family time picking apples, drinking cider and eating those amazing apple cider donuts! The leaves are turning and the colors are starting to pop! We just LOVE this time of year as the fall foliage makes for a gorgeous backdrop and it is the perfect time to update your family portrait.

I recently had a conversation with one of our clients about updating her photos of her 2 young boys and she mentioned that it had been a couple of years. She has been trying to coordinate her family schedules and during our conversation she asked me how often she should get it done. I told her what we tell all of our clients that especially for young children every year is the best. Children grow and change so quickly. We believe that it is of the utmost importance to mark their progress as your families' grow every year from the 1st year up to 10-12 years (as long as they will let you haha). And then you can spread them out every 2-3 years until their Senior Portraits.

We honestly believe and know that this is true. I can tell you that time and time again we often hear a story from a client that starts with "I am so glad that we did our family photos because..." You can probably fill in the blank. As a matter of fact, I recently asked Susan to update my own family's portrait as a gift to my 78 & 80 year old parents. They absolutely LOVED it and now I am the favorite child again!

So if you are thinking about it, just do it! And if you have a question, please just ask us. We are always here to answer any questions or offer any advice.

Until next time!
Annie
